      It gives  me great  pleasure and is my privilege to give you  brief account of Yogeshwari College Ambajogai .  our parent Institution Yogeshwari education society which runs Yogeshwari Mahavidyalaya, is established in 1935.  the unique feature of our parent institution is that there is complete harmony among its members and nearly all employees of the college are members of the society.

Selection of staff on merit basis, ban on private tuitions, commitment to rural sector, transparency in examination and monetary transaction, all round personality development of students are some of the silent features.

Ambajogai was small village with population not more than 25000 and not even facilities like electricity, good transport, better roads, etc.. were available. Still founders of society gave thought on science education and there vision of coming scientific age made it possible to start college with only science course in 1956, inspite of all difficulties.

The College was inaugurated by then chief minister of hyderbad state late B. Ramkrishnarao.

Late P.V. Narsinhrao, Late.Yashwantrao Chavan,late Pramod Mahajan, Hon.Sharad Pawar ,Hon.Gopinathrao Munde, Hon.Jayasinghrao Gaikwad.Hon.Shivraj Patil Chakurkar, late Shankarrao Chavan, Hon.Vilasrrao Deshmukh, Late.Kakasaheb Gadgil,late.Vasantrao Naik, Late.Balasaheb Desai,Late.C.D.Deshmukh.Hon.Ashokrao Chavan were among prominent personalities who visited our college.

The college has unmatched reputation of providing quality education, moral ethical and human values which is consistent with the aims and objectives of the society. To develop science culture among youths is also a significant aim of the society we are proud of the fact that this aim of the institution is nearly achieved as there is at least one “Yogeshwarian” graduate member in each family of the region.

Yogeshwari Education Society runs three hostels

1)     Yogeshwari Boys Hostel

2)     Yogeshwari Girls Hostel

3)     Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Hostel

Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Hostel is run on the subsidized rates with the contribution from the Employees of the society for economically backward students.

We feel that we have to do more for students. The problems of the mass education and the affiliated system under which we are working have some limitations; still we need to work more.

In the golden jubilee year society Planed  to construct new building of the science college to provide adequate learning resources and infrastructure.Nearly one third of the work is completed with the help of generous donations from well wishers, employees and the ex-students of the college.

I appeal all sections of the society including ex-students to come forward and donate generously to complete the planned task.

Above all the college try to instill in the student the idea of patriotism, healthy citizenship, democracy, secularism social equality and justice, upliftment of weaker sections of the society.
